THEMATIC SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE

We invite authors of scientific papers in the fields of civil and environmental engineering, architecture, and urban planning. Their detailed scope should concern:

• reconstruction and renovation of historic buildings, durability of buildings and structures
• innovative technologies for the construction and operation of buildings in industrial, hydro-technical, municipal, and transport infrastructure in the context of environmental protection
• materials engineering, building physics, construction issues, BIM, and organization and management of investments in sustainable construction
• architecture, urban planning, and spatial planning in the context of the idea of sustainable development

The organizers invite researchers, designers, contractors, architectural and construction administration, construction supervision employees, and companies promoting modern technologies and products in the field of construction to participate in the Conference.

Companies from the construction industry interested in presentations of their offer during the Conference are invited to contact the Organizing Committee directly.

ECCE 2024 Sessions (Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday)

GUIDELINES FOR THE AUTHORS

Accepted full-text papers will be published in the reviewed Conference monograph by Springer or Inżynieria i Budownictwo – the prestigious journal for the Polish construction industry engineers from PACET. Authors should choose one of these forms of publication when sending abstracts in the first stage of paper evaluation.

Abstracts for preliminary evaluation by the Scientific Committee should be written in English in A4 format, with font Calibri 12, single line spacing, min. 1 page, max. 2 pages.

The abstracts should be sent by December 11, 2023, to the e-mail of the ECCE 2024 organizers: ecce2024@po.edu.pl

Guidelines for the full-text papers will be sent by the Scientific Committee along with the information on the acceptance of the abstract.

1. Please send the prepared articles along with scans of the completed and signed author’s statement by January 28, 2024, only to the Conference e-mail address ecce2024@po.edu.pl
2. An article from ECCE 2024 may be qualified for IiB after two positive reviews prepared at the request of the Scientific Committee of the Conference. Opinions about the works will be sent to the authors by the schedule in the "Important dates" tab.
3. The publication process at IiB will be conducted in the "ICI Publishers Panel - Index Copernicus" system. In the case of articles based on papers at ECCE 2024, data entry into the system begins only after the Conference Scientific Committee has accepted them.
4. The publication process at IiB is associated with an additional fee for the Publisher by the information provided on the website: https://www.inzynieriaibudownictwo.pl/informacje/informacje-dla-autorow
5. Information for authors to download (contains editorial tips on preparing the manuscript for IiB, with the minimum volume of a scientific article being 4 A4 pages in an issue - text volume 27,500 characters with spaces and illustrations).

1. Please send the prepared papers in the form of a book chapter, between 12 and 16 pages long, along with scans of the completed and signed license by January 28, 2024, only to the Conference e-mail address: ecce2024@po.edu.pl
2. A paper from ECCE 2024 may be qualified for Springer’s monograph after a positive peer review prepared at the request of the Scientific Committee of the Conference. Opinions about the works will be sent to the authors by the schedule in the "Important dates" tab.

CONFERENCE FEE

The conference fee is 540 Euros or 1900 PLN + VAT.

The conference fee includes two nights in a double room in Hotel Mercury Opole with breakfast, a welcome reception, two lunches, a gala dinner, and coffee breaks between sessions.

The organizers do not cover the travel costs and accommodation costs in places other than Hotel Mercury Opole.

Additional information:

1. An additional fee for staying in a single room is 55 Euros or 180 PLN + VAT per night.
2. The conference fee without accommodation is 440 Euros or 1500 PLN + VAT.
3. Participants who plan an additional stay in a double room on 21 or 26 April 2024 incur an additional fee of 65 Euros or 220 PLN + VAT for each day.
4. In case of resignation from participation in the Conference up to two weeks before its commencement, participation costs may be reimbursed up to 50% of the payment made. In the case of resignation from participation in less than two weeks, the participation costs will not be reimbursed.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE CONFERENCE FEE FOR THE AUTHORS

One conference fee covers participation in the event with one accepted paper and publication of its extended abstract in the Conference Book. The papers can be presented in the form of multimedia presentations or posters depending on the decision of the Scientific Committee. The conference fee also covers publication in the reviewed Conference monograph by Springer if the authors choose this option. The conference fee does not cover additional costs required by PACET for publication in Inżynieria i Budownictwo if the authors choose this option.
